Privacy Policy

RestaurantSouq operates restaurantsouq.com, a marketplace for restaurant sales, leases and hospitality jobs in the UAE. This policy explains what we collect and what we do with it. For any privacy question, email restaurantsouq@gmail.com.

Account information

Your name, email address and password when you register. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google — never your Google password.

Profile information

Anything you choose to add: biography, phone number, website, location, specialities, years in the industry and profile picture.

Listings you post

Restaurant listings, job postings and talent profiles, along with any images you upload. Talent profiles may include information you decide to share about your nationality, visa status, previous employer, languages and expected salary. This is sensitive information — please include only what you are comfortable making public to signed-in users, and never upload identity documents.

Activity

Messages you exchange with other users, listings you save, reports you submit, and view counts on listings. Our hosting provider also processes standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability.

• to run the marketplace and show your listings to other users;
• to authenticate you and keep your account secure;
• to let signed-in users contact you about a listing;
• to respond to your support, dispute and takedown requests;
• to detect spam, fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising networks on the site.

Listings, job postings and talent profiles are public, including their text, images and the name attached to them. Contact details — email addresses, phone numbers and websites — are hidden from visitors who are not signed in, and are shown only to registered users.

Anything you type into a listing description is public, so avoid putting information there that you would not want visible.

We share personal information only with the service providers that run the platform: our application host, our database provider and our authentication provider. They process data on our instructions. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or to protect users' rights and safety.

Our application and database are hosted in the United States, so your information is transferred and stored outside the UAE.

We keep your account and listings while your account is open. When you delete a listing it is removed from the site. When you ask us to close your account we delete your account data, except anything we must keep to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation.

• edit or delete your profile and listings at any time from your dashboard;
• ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct or delete it;
• ask us to stop using it for a particular purpose.

We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work — principally to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

The site is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
